About Us

The Office of Student Services & Advising in the School of Social Work guides students from new student orientation through graduation to ensure that they complete all degree requirements and work to their fullest potential. Faculty advisors use their knowledge of departmental curriculum to help students choose courses consistent with their specific career objectives.  Please contact Ms. Djuna Witherspoon outside the dean's office on the fifth floor of Ritter Annex or email Ms. Witherspoon at djuna@temple.edu to find out your academic or faculty advisor.

The Office of Admission & Student Services is available for your convenience:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday
8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Tuesday and Thursday
8:30 am to 6:00 pm

Services

Student Services and Admissions actively provides various undergraduate and graduate student services in the School of Social Work. These services include:

  1. Graduate admissions
  2. Recruitment
  3. Retention
  4. Graduation clearances for all graduating SSW students
  5. Planning and implementation of undergraduate and graduate diploma ceremonies
  6. Graduate record keeping and academic actions (academic warning, academic probation, dismissals and re-admission into the college)


The Office of Student Services & Admission also coordinates activities across campuses regarding information sessions, open houses, career and employment opportunities.
