Whitaker studies neighborhood impact on obesity and diabetes
A new study co-authored by Robert Whitaker of Temple's Center for Obesity Research and Education has found that low-income women given the opportunity to move from high-poverty to lower-poverty neighborhoods experienced lower rates of extreme obesity and diabetes more than 10 years after moving.
