Dr. Elizabeth D. Thompson, PT, DPT

Dr. Thompson received her BS in Sport Science, Psychology, and Music Performance from the University of Richmond, and her MPT from MCP-Hahnemann University (now Drexel University).  While in clinical practice, she earned her tDPT from Temple University.  She is credentialed by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Clinical Instructor, and by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a Neurologic Certified Specialist.

Prior to coming to Temple, Dr. Thompson's clinical work focused on rehabilitation of neurologic injuries in adults, including stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury.  Her areas of  interest within this field include wheelchair seating and positioning, orthotic management of neurologic injury to the lower extremity, and use of a multidisciplinary treatment team for treating clients with brain injury in both inpatient and outpatient rehab.  She continues to practice physical therapy at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia.
