Dr. Maneval is the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Nursing Education at Temple University and an Associate Professor - Clinical. She administers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Programs. An expert in evidence-base practice, Dr. Maneval teaches courses in nursing research, leadership and professional issues. She also serves as a nursing research consult for Pinnacle Health System and is a founding member of the South Central Pennsylvania Evidence-based Practice Regional Consortium. Her research interests focus on clinical decision-making, critical thinking, and transformation learning. She has presented her work at many regional and national conferences. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, and the National League for Nursing. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Coalition for the Advancement of Nursing Education and is a trustee of the Nightingale Awards of Pennsylvania. She also served on the Governors Central Regional Health Care Workforce Roundtable and on the steering committee of the Pennsylvania Promise of Nursing. Recent awards and honors include the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association Nursing Education Award, the Chair Academy’s International Exemplary Leader Award, and the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Award for Teaching Excellence.
