I started my academic career at Temple University as an adjunct faculty member in May, 2007 working with the undergraduate students in Mental Health clinical. In January 2009 I became a full time employee, as an Assistant Professor, clinical. I am have my certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing since1985.
I have been a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, Kappa Chi chapter since December, 2004. I received the STTI Leadership award at the completion of both my BSN and MSN programs. I am currently the Treasurer for the Kappa Chi chapter at Temple University. I am also a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, the International Society of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses and the National League for Nursing.

Long-term psychological effect on children, adolescents and young adults diagnosed with a chronic inflammatory disease as a child (ages 0-10 years).
How the role of “support systems” including family system, medical community and local/national support groups influence one'sability to cope and manage the disease process.
