Research

Dr Tierney's primary research interest is sport concussion prevention. He currently utilizing a soccer head impact model and genetic association studies to examine mechanisms underlying variable responses to repetitive head impacts. The goal is to help athletes and parents be more informed participants of physical activities involving repetitive head impacts.
