Athletic Training Division
The mission of the Athletic Training Division of the Biokinetics Research Laboratory is enhancing prevention, care, and rehabilitation of injuries in a physically active population. This mission is fulfilled as the lab is utilized for the quality instruction, research and clinical educations of both graduate and undergraduate Kinesiology students.
The 2000 square foot dedicated lab space houses two force plates, motion analysis systems and EMG systems, as well as five computer work stations with the latest statistical software and instruments to measure stability and joint torque and power. Please go to "Equipment" to learn more about our laboratory instruments.
Each semester athletic training faculty, master and doctoral students conduct quality research utilizing the wide range of instrumentation. Conducting this research is an invaluable experience for our graduate students. Most of this research is presented at state (PATS), regional (EATA), and national (NATA) conferences and published in abstract or manuscript form.
