HIT Week Event

Temple’s Health Information Management (HIM) Department celebrated the 2011 National Health Information and Technology Week with an alumni panel presentation on November 9th.  Over 75 pre-HIM, and HIM majors attended.   The panel members, Sean Morgan (’96), RHIA, Senior Systems Implementation Analyst, 3M Health Information Systems;  Sherine Koshy (’02), MHA, RHIA, CCS, Associate Director of Health Information Management, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania; and Lauren Gess (’10), EpicCare Inpatient Clinical Documentation Certified  Epic Analyst, Deloitte Consulting, shared information about their HIM careers and gave advice to students on how to succeed in school and the job market. 

Troy Anderson, Senior Consultant, Deloitte Consulting, provided information on jobs available at Deloitte working with government clients and Mansura Karim provided students with an update funding opportunities form the Health Information Professions (HIP) Career Pathways Initiative Program.
