Social Work professsor interviews cancer researcher on WHYY

Jonathan B. Singer, PhD, LCSW, associate professor of Social Work at CHPSW, made a recent appearance on WHYY as a guest interviewer. Dr. Singerspoke to Frank Rauscher, a cancer researcher from the Wistar Institute, about the next generation of cancer treatments. Temple Nurses receive high scores on licensure exam

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing has reported CHPSW’s annual pass rate for first-time takers of the National Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. Our official pass rate for 2012 was 96.88%. The pass rate for our May 2012 graduates was 98.41%. This exceeded the rate for most schools in Pennsylvania. Congratulations, Temple nurses!

PT professor discusses falling on WHYY

Emily Keshner, PT, EdD was featured on WHYY 90.9 during morning drive time on Thursday, May 17. The video, which is part of a WHYY series on aging in the Delaware Valley, accompanied a separate story on NewsWorks Tonight later that evening. In the clip, Dr. Keshner interviews older Philadelphians about their experiences and discusses the mechanics of falling. Special health teaching institute focuses on patients, practice and professionalism

At the Teaching and Learning Center's Health Sciences Teaching Institute (HSTI), faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Podiatry and the College of Health Professions and Social Work tackle common issues and improve teaching in an effort to prepare stronger health care professionals.
