Dean's Message

As I have mentioned so often in recent months, it is an exciting time in CHPSW.  We continue to see our mission in action as our research and academic efforts keep pace with the needs of our changing landscape.

Our talented faculty continue to make strides in so many areas of research – as evidenced below in articles highlighting the efforts of Dr. Alice Hausman,  Dr. Grace Xueqin Ma, and Dr. Carol Scheffner Hammer.  You’ll also read spotlights on our nursing community-based curriculum and new HIM certificate programs that continue to adapt to meet the demands of a rapidly shifting healthcare environment.

Efforts are also underway to implement the CHPSW Tactical Plan. Over the next 18-24 months, we will be moving forward with initiatives to strengthen leadership, build resources and fortify our infrastructure, ensuring that we are well-positioned for the future.

Thank you all for you do to keep mission in action and momentum moving forward.

All the best,

Michael R. Sitler, EdD
Interim Dean
