New Faculty Members

emple’s Department of Rehabilitation Sciences has welcomed five new faculty members during the 2011-2012 academic year: Carlos Moreno, MS OTR/L, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Clinical Instructor; Ivelisse Lazzarini, OTD OTR/L, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Assistant Professor; Rebecca Gilbert, Instructor; Gretchen Snethen, PhD CTRS, Assistant Professor; and Pei-Chun Hsieh, PhD CTRS, Assistant Professor.

Rehabilitation Sciences research center hosts international conference in Philadelphia

The Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion of Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities, a research center within the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, hosted more than 250 people at their second international conference. The conference took place at the Double Tree Hotel in Philadelphia in September 2011.

Rehabilitation Sciences chair receives award

In November 2011, Mark Salzer, PhD received an award from Elwyn, a human services organizations serving disabled individuals, for “Outstanding contribution in promoting recovery through community integration”. Dr. Salzer is the chair of CHPSW's Department of Rehabilitation Sciences.
