Cheryl Hyde, Ph.D., associate professor in the School of Social Work, presented the paper "Does Social Work Research Ignore Socioeconomic Class?: A Content Analysis of Recent Literature" at the recent Society for Social Work Research annual meeting in Washington DC. The paper was co-authored by Paul Dannenfelser, MSW, and Margaret Coleman, current MSW student.
Emeka Nwadiora, J.D, Ph.D, DSW, MSW, professor in the School of Social Work, presented a paper titled "Alchemy of Law, Mental Health and Human Oppression: Unmasking the canonic phenomenologies of world-acclaimed psychiatrists Sigmund Freud and Frantz Fanon" at the Caribbean Philosophical Association’s International Conference in October 2011.
Nwadiora will also be featured in the soon-to-be published poetry collections and works of the Surgeon Poet Dr. Neal Hall, M.D.
Dr. Marianne Torbert, Professor Emeritus of the Department of Kinesiology, has recently revised and republished her book, Secrets to Success in Sport and Play. First published in 1982, this timeless work covers the application of mechanical principles of movement.
Mary Sinnott, PT, DPT, director of Temple’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, has been selected to present the Acute Care Section Lectureship at Combined Sections Meeting in Chicago, IL. This event will take place in early February.

Cheryl Hyde, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Social Work, has been named to the Executive Board of Philadelphia Jobs with Justice. She also serves as the Chair of that organization's Workers' Rights Board.
