Books and Scientific Publications
One of the highest priorities of Center for Asian Health is to contribute to the knowledge base about the health status of Asian Americans with the aim of reducing or eliminating health disparities in these populations. This is accomplished through the dissemination of new research findings in scientific journals, and through publications that have immediate utility in the community. Since its inception in 2000, the Center for Asian Health has over eighty (80) scientific publications, covering a wide range of areas that reflect Center's expanding scope of behavioral and clinical scientific research activities in response to the specific needs of Asian American communities, addressing critical health and service delivery disparity issues in tobacco, Hepatitis B, cancer, and other chronic illnesses in Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodian, and other Asian ethnic populations.
