Dr. Grace Ma was honored for her community-based research in Temple Basketball Game

Grace X. Ma, PhD, professor, Department of Public Health and director of Center for Asian Health, was honored with the Faculty of the Game award at the Jan. 12th, 2013 Temple University Men’s basketball game.

A tenured professor in the Department of Public Health, Dr. Ma directs the Center for Asian Health, the first of its kind in the nation dedicated to reducing cancer and other health disparities among Asian Americans. Her research focuses on community-based participatory intervention research. Dr. Ma is the recipient of more than 55 grant awards. She has trained and mentored over 115 junior researchers, has published 5 books and more than 110 peer-reviewed articles. A widely respected and sought after expert in Asian Health concerns, Dr. Ma brings great prestige to Temple University, community and nation.
